gearheadworld Store 3 HP High Torque Chevy Street Rod Mini Starter SBC BBC This auction is for a brand new in box Small and Big Block Chevy mini-starter. These will work for most Chevy engines with 153 or 168 tooth flywheels. This heavy duty starter offers a huge 3 horsepower motor with a 4:1 gear ratio. This will work great for any engine with up to a 15 to 1 compression. People usually don't believe it, but this starter will fit BOTH staggered and straight pattern flywheels (153 and 168 tooth) because of the bolt pattern on the block. However, it will not fit the staggered pattern on the Small Block 400 engine. But all others should work great! This starter is also much lighter in weight than the stock, making it perfect for high performance racing applications. It is still a great starter for street applications and street rods. This starter comes complete with some of the shims and bolts needed for installation.
