This GM alternator has a self exciting regulator for a ONE WIRE hook up convenience...which makes for an easy installation. You only need to connect your main charging wire to the battery. The plating is done with a premium chroming process has high output capability and single V groove pulley. Once assembled these units are individually tested at the factory.
